Moving forward, we are committed to expanding our impact by:

  • Providing Trainings Sessions, that are essential to our mission and purpose.

  • To involve the youth and young adults in planning and training.

  • Widen our team by communicating with district and local directors from around the Florida Region.

  • Supporting and collaborating with the various ministries and ministry leaders of the Florida Region.

Our Objectives

  • To use Zoom and Conference Calls to keep in touch and to inform all Christian Educators of information that necessary to assist them in their duties and responsibilities.

  • Planning with District Directors, training sessions, etc. as it is essential to our mission and purpose.

  • To involve Local Directors in training sessions to implement a growing understanding of the mission and purpose.

  • To involve the youth and young adults in planning and training.

The Purpose & General Responsibilities of Board of Christian Education & Formation

“The idea of Christian Education is deeply rooted in the traditions and history of the African-American Church.”

The Discipline charges the Department of Christian Education with responsibility for “Developing standards, preparing programs, offering classes, teaching Christian education, publishing material, training people for pastoral ministry and other church vocations” in accordance with the tradition and doctrine of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

The Florida Region Board of Christian Education & Formation is responsible for accomplishingOrganize, supervise, and administer the educational ministry and activities of the church at all levels including:

  • The To train Christian Educators and local boards in the make-up and function of the Board of Christian Education.

  • Promotes Church School (Sunday School)

  • Christian Youth Fellowship

  • Young Adult Council

  • Vacation Bible School

  • Leadership Training

  • Membership Training

  • Adult education courses
